Does an electric car with the following specs exist? If no, how long do you think before one becomes available
Paulk asked:
FIrst off, it needs to be a zero emission electric car.
The car should have a top speed of atleast 65 mph (100 kph).
Have a single charge range of around 100 miles (160 km).
It should look like a normal car (IE no three-wheel or golf cart looking buggies).
Finally it needs to be affordable, less than $20,000.
Are there any electric cars like this? Will there be any electric cars like this in the near future?
One more thing, I needs to be a four person vehicle.
It should say "it" not "I" above.
Didn't realize some people were so anal about a term. Of course there is no zero emmisions vehicle, the raw materials and parts need to be transported to the factory, most transport vehicles are desiel now... so there are some emmisions. Also the power used for the batteries will probably come from coal or natural gas power, (unless I have solar panels and wind turbines) so there are some more emmisions. I just really wished the lot of you would have focused on my intention not my choice of words. You all know what I meant, but instead you had to push pencils. Bravo.

How can I secure my electric golf cart when I park it outside?
ericfrompa asked:
I cannot find ANY products that would help prevent theft. I do have a steering wheel lock that fits on top of a regular car's steering wheel and prevents theft because it bangs into the window, etc. when you try to steer... but since the golf cart is "open air"... this won't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
NOTE: Taking out the keys is about as effective as taking the keys out of a regular car. Please... helpful answers only. Thank you.
